In this “Sounds of Faith” video, Chapel Music Director Dr. Zebulon Highben explains how an original arrangement of "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence" contributes to the hymn's extensive global history. This recording of "Let All Mortal Flesh," arranged by composer Chad Fothergill and sung by all three Chapel choirs, comes from the Chapel's 2019 Christmas worship service The Marvel of This Night, which was broadcast nationally on CBS Television.

"Christianity is a global faith, and the music you are listening to exemplifies that," Dr. Highben explains. "Like many great hymns, 'Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence' has roots in more than one place and time, blending elements from across cultures and centuries."

"This arrangement of 'Let All Mortal Flesh' is a new addition to the long history of this beloved hymn," he says.
