Alternative Spring Break Mission Trips

Ghosts of the Holy City: An Immersion into Race, Faith, and Place in Charleston, South Carolina

Students are invited on an alternative Spring Break trip March 11–13, 2024. Join the Chapel’s minister for intercultural engagement, Rev. Racquel Gill, in this immersion experience of the legacy of race and faith in Charleston, nicknamed "The Holy City." Plans include visits to the International African American Museum, the historic Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church, and the Avery Research Center for African American culture at the College of Charleston. The trip will also include some of the city's amazing cuisine and a ghost tour excursion! To learn more, email Rev. Gill.

Christ in the Desert Retreat

At the remote Monastery of Christ in the Desert in New Mexico, you'll have space and time for prayer, reflection, contemplation, and rest. The trip will run from March 10 through 15, 2024. To learn more and sign up, email Rev. Bruce Puckett.
