Sunday morning worship service at Duke Chapel
The scripture readings in our worship service this Sunday, November 12, at 11:00 a.m. draw our attention to God’s final judgment and invite us to reflect on important decisions in our own lives in light of this judgment. Chapel Dean Luke Powery will preach a sermon titled More Than a Song. The Chapel Choir and Chapel organists are joined by harpist Anita Burroughs-Price in leading the music. And, the Congregation at Duke Chapel will receive new members with affirmations of Christ’s compassion and holiness.
We will also hear from our Mission of the Month, PORCH-Durham, whose mission is to provide supplemental food to Durham children and their families who are facing food insecurity.
