The scripture lessons for the worship service this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. continue the Eastertide exploration of the theme of resurrection from various perspectives. In Revelation, John describes his vision of the heavenly city of Jerusalem, as God makes heaven and earth anew. In the gospel lesson from John, Jesus offers his disciples a peace the world cannot give and the promise of the Holy Spirit that will guide and comfort them when he is no longer physically present with them.
The Rev. Carol Gregg, pastor of the Congregation oat Duke Chapel, will give the sermon, and Chapel Organist Christopher Jacobson and soloist Alissa Roca will lead the music.
