Dr. Robert Parkins
Dr. Robert Parkins, university organist at Duke, will present a recital of "Music for the Lenten Season" this Sunday, March 17, at 5:00 p.m. Free admission.
The performance on the Chapel’s Brombaugh and Flentrop organs will feature works by early Italian and Spanish composers, as well as music of Brahms and J. S. Bach. A professor of the practice of music at Duke, Dr. Parkins's solo recordings have appeared on the Calcante, Gothic, Loft, Musical Heritage Society, and Naxos labels.
