Monica Czausz Berney Organ Recital This Sunday

Monica Czausz Berney will perform at this second organ recital of the 2022-2023 academic year on Sunday, November 6, at 5:00 p.m. Berney is the interim director of music at St. Paul's Parish in Washington, D.C. One of the finest young organists on the scene today, she has been noted for "artistic mastery far beyond her years" (The American Organist). A first-prize winner in several competitions, she has appeared at significant venues across the United States. She has also performed at numerous conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society. Her recital program in the Chapel will feature the Flentrop organ.

Admission is free. Paid parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in surface lot at the same address.

A beloved cornerstone of the Chapel Music calendar, the Organ Recital Series showcases internationally acclaimed organists performing enduring favorites, modern masterpieces, and original improvisations. The Chapel's Kathleen Upton Byrns McClendon Organ (Aeolian, 1932), Benjamin N. Duke Memorial Organ (Flentrop, 1976), and Brombaugh Organ (1997) are all featured in the series.
