MLK Ceremony Jan. 15 with Address by Bestselling Author Mikki Kendall

The Duke community will gather on Sunday, January 15, at 3:00 p.m. in Duke Chapel for the university’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration.

The event will feature keynote speaker Mikki Kendall, author of the 2020 bestseller Hood Feminism. Kendall is an essayist, diversity consultant and self-described “occasional feminist” whose commentary on current events has been published by The New York Times, The Washington Post, Ebony, Essence, Salon, and other media. The John Brown Quintet will provide music for the ceremony.

Free parking is available for the event in the Bryan Center Parking Garage at 125 Science Dr. with ADA parking in the surface lot at the same address.
