‘Remember and Hope’ Interfaith Vigil Commemorating September 11 [Chapel Steps]

Beginning at 10:04 a.m., faith leaders from across campus will lead a vigil on the steps of Duke Chapel on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The vigil will include times of prayer, reading, and silent reflection. President Vincent E. Price will give welcoming remarks. People of any faith or no faith are welcome to join in this time of remembrance and hope.

The vigil will be immediately preceded by the Chapel bell tolling in memory of the September 11 victims at the times of the attacks.

Please note: Face masks are required on the Duke campus in all indoor and outdoor locations. See the university's public health measures.

Parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center Parking Garage at 125 Science Drive at a cost of $2 per hour. ADA parking is available in the parking lot immediately in front of the garage.
