"Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence" by Chad Fothergill
The first composition in the Music from Duke Chapel series of musical scores being published by MorningStar Music has been honored with an Editors' Choice designation from JW Pepper, one of the largest sheet music retailers in the world.
The composition by the scholar and composer Chad Fothergill is an arrangement of the hymn "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence," which was commissioned by the Chapel for its national TV Christmas special The Marvel of This Night.
According to their website, JW Pepper’s editors “review thousands of new titles from hundreds of publishers” to handpick the “highest quality new literature” for Editors’ Choice designations. Of “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence,” they wrote: "A really beautiful introduction establishes the tone for this glorious congregation/choir setting" and "It closes with a brilliant, thrilling finish."
