Chapel Scholars 2022–23
Students in the Chapel Scholars program at a welcome dinner.
In our worship service this Sunday at 11:00 a.m., we will commission students in the Chapel Scholars program with prayers and blessings. Through the Chapel Scholars program, students build community across Christian traditions and are formed together in faith through study, service, counsel, and worship.
Also in the service, Chapel Dean Luke Powery will preach a sermon titled Will He Find Faith on Earth? The text for the psalm in the service, Psalm 111, is a translation by Duke Divinity School Professor Ellen Davis. It will be chanted responsively by a cantor and the congregation.
Before the service at 10:00 a.m., students and their family members are invited to gather for a reception on the quad in front of the Chapel.
