Bálint Karosi to Present Organ Recital This Sunday

A leading interpreter of the music of J. S. Bach, Bálint Karosi will give an organ recital at Duke Chapel on Sunday, January 29, at 5:00 p.m.

Admission is free. Paid parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in surface lot at the same address.

Karosi, the director of music at Saint Peter's Church in New York City, won the International Bach Competition in Leipzig in 2008. Commended by Christoph Wolff as "a most impressive musical interpreter" (Boston Musical Intelligencer), he has earned a reputation for his expressive command of a wide range of repertoire, guided by historical performance practice. His recital will be performed on the Chapel's Brombaugh and Flentrop organs.
