This Sunday in our 11:00 a.m. worship service, we will welcome as our guest choir the Muskingum University Concert Choir. They will join the Chapel Choir in musical leadership of the service. The two choirs will mark “A Cappella Sunday” by leading the congregation in singing a hymn without accompaniment.
A cappella singing connects a congregation to the church’s historic practice (the phrase a cappella is Italian for “in the chapel style”) as well as many global Christian traditions that still use unaccompanied song as their primary mode of music-making.
