On Thursday, September 26, Dr. Alyssa Rockenbach from the North Carolina State Higher Education Program spoke with campus Religious Life leaders and others about the role of friendship in college students appreciating differing worldviews. Among the factors she cited for promoting understanding across faiths were:

  • Provocative encounters with peers holding different worldviews
  • Support for a student's existing worldview
  • Informal and formal interfaith activities
  • A welcoming campus environment
