Religious faith shapes the lives of billions of people and world events—and all of those major religions are represented at Duke.
The Interfaith Campus Pilgrimages program invites graduate students to deepen their understanding of these faiths through monthly visits to sacred spaces at Duke and discussions with Religious Life leaders. Students who wish to can also participate in the rituals, services, and practices of these faith groups. The Pilgrimages are presented by Duke Chapel and Religious Life at Duke in conjunction with the QuadEx Chaplains program.

February 6: Jewish Life at Duke
The mission of Jewish Life at Duke is to empower students to learn and grow intellectually and spiritually; to inspire and nurture personal paths to Jewish identity; and to cultivate community and friendship.
This pilgrimage meets Friday, February 6, 2026, at 5:30pm at the Freeman Center for Jewish Life.
March 2: Buddhist Mediation Community at Duke
The Buddhist Mediation Community at Duke is a culturally and ideologically diverse group that brings core Buddhist teachings and practices to bear on our modern lives and cultural contexts through experiential exercises and discussion.
This pilgrimage meets Monday, March 2, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Student Wellness Center, Room 148.

September 21: Duke Chapel
In addition to being the moderator of Religious Life at Duke, Duke Chapel is a vibrant center for ecumenical Christian worship.
This pilgrimage meets on Sunday, September 21, at 9:45 a.m. in front of Duke Chapel. Following the pilgrimage come get a pastry and coffee, learn about the Chapel, meet staff, and stay for the worship service at 11:00 a.m.
October 24: Center for Muslim Life
The Center for Muslim Life (CML) at Duke provides a welcoming environment for students to explore Muslim identity, celebrate Muslim and Islamic cultures, build community, and engage with Islam in spiritual, social, and intellectual ways.
This pilgrimage meets on Friday, October 24, at 12:45 p.m. at McClendon Tower. Learn more about the Center and their work and support, stay for Friday Prayers and food to follow—wrapping up around 2:15 p.m.
November 11: Hindu Life at Duke
Hindu Life works to bridge the knowledge of Sanathan Dharma (Eternal Truths) with the Secular Education students will receive in their academic pursuits.
This pilgrimage meets on Tuesday, November 11, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hindu Life at Duke (Enter the Bryan Center through the "greenhouse" entrance and go down the stairs). Attend an informal conversation at their Chai & Chat observe prayer/worship—wrap up between by 4:45 p.m.
