Visitor Relations Assistant and Wedding Assistant
In her role as a visitor relations assistant, Amanda Wu greets and assists visitors to the Chapel. She also welcomes and guides guests of the Chapel as a volunteer docent. She joined the Chapel staff in August of 2024.
Amanda retired in 2020 after a long career in hospitality with Hilton Hotel Corporation where she had the privilege of exploring many cities around the world. She mentored several others along the way, and continues to enjoy both creating excellent experiences for others and mentoring women as they navigate their careers. She serves as the volunteer co-chair for Duke Cancer Institute's Oncology Patient Advisory Council. She is the proud mother of T, a Neurosurgery PA-C at Duke Hospital, and loves spending time with her precious Doberman grand-dog, Miss Atlas. She is an active member of Duke Campus Club, and in her spare time she loves to run, read, visit art galleries, and keep up with her many friends in Durham and across the globe.
