Sunday Service with Readings on Christian Speech

The scripture readings in our service this Sunday, September 15, at 11:00 a.m. make clear that how Christians speak matters. For example, the Letter of James warns of fires set ablaze by restless and unbridled speech.

The Rev. Racquel Gill, the Chapel's minister for intercultural engagement, will preach. The music includes an original composition by Duke alumnus Charles Beaudrot, "Come Down, O Love Divine," as well as an original translation of Psalm 116 by Duke Divinity School Professor Ellen Davis.
