Sunday Morning Service to Honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

In our worship service this Sunday, January 15, at 11:00 a.m., we will honor the witness of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., recalling his conviction that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Gary V. Simpson, leading pastor of the Concord Baptist Church of Christ in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to his pastoral role, he is also an associate professor of homiletics at Drew Theological Seminary. He will preach a sermon titled Reflections on King and Our Missed Opportunities.

The Chapel Choir and organists will lead the music, which includes the hymns "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness."
