Outdoor Carillon Recital on Sunday

Dr. Aaron Colston, a Duke Chapel carillonneur, will present a recital on the Chapel's bells this Sunday, September 22, at 5:00 p.m. The recital theme will be “American Songbook: Themes and Variations on a Dream.” It will feature beloved and lesser-known hymns and spirituals, and original arrangements for carillon from the works of George Gershwin, Mary Lou Williams, and Charles Ives. The performance is part of the Chapel’s J. Samuel Hammond Carillon Recital Series.

To enjoy the music, bring a lawn chair or blanket to listen from Abele Quad. The recital will be presented rain or shine. Watch the livestream here:
