New Chapel Scholars Commissioned

During the Sunday morning worship service on November 17, a new group of Chapel Scholars was commissioned. Chapel Scholars are undergraduate students who intentionally engage in Chapel-based programming that nurtures the intellectual, ethical and spiritual life of students.

Chapel Dean Luke A. Powery invited the students into a "journey includes listening to God among peers and pastors, at work, in Durham, and beyond."

He asked the students, "Are you ready to meet God and discover more of who God has  made you to be?" and they responded, "We are."

In closing the congregation prayed, "Give us the grace to grow in love and friendship with you and with each other. Amen."
