Guest Preacher August 11

On Sunday, August 11, we will welcome as our guest preacher the Rev. Dr. Theresa S. Thames. Dr. Thames is the associate dean of religious Llfe and of the chapel at Princeton University. As an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, Dean Thames served as a local pastor in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area for nine years before joining the Office of Religious Life at Princeton. She is a graduate of Howard University with a bachelor of arts in human communication studies, received her master of divinity with a concentration in gender studies from Duke Divinity School and her doctor of ministry from Wesley Seminary. Dean Thames is passionate about the intersections of theology, community, and social justice.
