Dean Powery Speaks on 'An Ethics of Dust'

In a talk last month at the TheoEd event in Orlando, Florida, Chapel Dean Luke Powery spoke about "An Ethics of Dust."
"We hear in Genesis that we have at least two things in common—we have God's breath in us and we are from the dust of the ground," he said at the talk. "This is why we need what I call 'an ethics of dust,' in which we remember we are from dust, we are dust, and to dust we will return."
"It humanizes rather than dehumanizes, and hopefully it nurtures a more honest and humble and human Christianity," he said. "And when we engage one other hopefully, we are not just celebrating technology as we go to space but that we would embrace our humanity as we make space for one another."
