At the recent Samuel DuBois Cook Awards Ceremony, Chapel Dean Luke Powery was honored with the Cook Society’s Raymond Gavins Distinguished Faculty Award.
At the awards dinner, Dean Powery said: “Dr. Cook was a man who was not only a great scholar but a great servant. This dinner brings together people, a cross-section of university folks, community folks, bridging races, cultures—and that’s what he worked for, that’s what he believed in.”
