Dean Powery on ‘Getting Close Enough to Care’

Chapel Dean Luke A. Powery is the keynote speaker and guest preacher for a theological conference June 27–29 in Leipzig and Wittenberg, Germany.

This summer, six students from Duke and North Carolina Central University (NCCU) are living together in Durham’s West End Neighborhood and working in the community through the Chapel’s Bridge Internship program.

“Graduates, As you leave this place, remember that there’s no shame in struggling throughout life’s journey," he said.
