Choral Vespers Service to Draw on Poet George Herbert

The Chapel's Choral Vespers worship service this Thursday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m. will draw on texts from the seventeenth-century, Anglican poet George Herbert. The Rev. Amanda Highben will offer some introductory remarks, and the service will contain hymns and musical settings of Herbert's poetry.

Also an author and a priest in the Church of England, Herbert's poetry focuses on religious themes. Herbert is honored in churches of the Anglican Communion with a feast day on February 27.
