Chapel’s Lyn Pace Is a Featured Contributor to Popular Devotional Book
The Rev. Dr. Lyn Pace, the Chapel’s assistant dean of Religious Life, is a contributor to a new book of prayers and reflections on biblical passages. A popular annual resource for daily devotions, this year’s The Upper Room Disciplines will be published in September 2026.
“Each day includes a scripture reading followed by a thoughtful meditation and prayer from one of 53 diverse Christian thought leaders from around the country,” the publisher, Upper Room Books, says about the book. “Together, these voices illuminate the texts and invite readers into deeper reflection and faithful living.”
In his role at Duke Chapel, Rev. Dr. Pace facilitates the work of the twenty-four Religious Life groups at Duke, and also helps lead Chapel worship services.
“I'm grateful for the invitation to contribute to this coming year's Disciplines edition,” says Rev. Dr. Pace, an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. “Just as we use the lectionary in worship at Duke Chapel, these reflections take the week's lectionary texts and weave them together in a theme that allows us to dig deeper intellectually and spiritually.”
