Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration, Jan. 16—Online Only

The Chapel will host the university’s Martin Luther King, Jr. ceremony on Sunday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m.  Join members of the Duke and Durham community, in person or online, in honoring the life and work of Rev. Dr. King.

Dr. Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor (pictured at right), a professor of African American Studies at Princeton University who is among this year’s MacArthur ‘genius grant’ winners, will deliver the keynote address.


This event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available to all guests at the Bryan Center Garage free of charge. In accordance with Duke University COVID-19 mitigation policies, all guests must wear a mask at all times when indoors regardless of vaccination status.
