Jazz Vespers March 17

The Chapel's next Jazz Vespers worship service is Tuesday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m.

The service combines the form of the traditional evening vespers service with the musical improvisation of jazz. It brings together Duke Professor John Brown, his Little Big Band, Chapel minister Rev. Joshua Lazard, local ministers, and students for a service of prayers, songs, and blessings.

An article about Jazz Vespers called it "a service of reassurance and comfort bolstered by gratitude and joy." The writer said, "Those leaving the Chapel this evening, did so with a lighter step and a song of joy instead of a burden riding on the shoulders – at least for a while – at least for as long as the song lasts...."

Free parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center Parking Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address.
