Sunday morning worship service
11:00 am
University Worship with Bach Cantata
Location: Duke Chapel
The Rev. Dr. Lauren Winner, Associate Professor of Christian Spirituality, Duke Divinity School

All are welcome to attend this ecumenical service of Christian worship on Sunday mornings throughout the year. Duke Chapel is home to a long -- and living -- tradition of faithful preaching and inspiring sacred music. Join us as we sing, pray, give thanks, and learn together. This service will include J.S. Bach's "Lobe den Herrn," presented here in its historic context as part of a Sunday liturgy. With its three joyful hunting horns, "Lobe den Herrn helps" us ring in the new year during the Chapel's Sunday morning worship service. The service will also include Palestrina's motet "Lauda anima mea" and G. P. Telemann's "Concerto for Two Horns." Face masks are required inside the Chapel and all Duke buildings. Read more about campus public health measures at https://returnto.duke.edu/public-health-measures/. Chapel ministers lead the service with a sermon from Chapel Dean Luke A. Powery or other minister. The Chapel Choir typically leads the music with accompaniment from the Chapel's organs. Parking is available in the Bryan Center garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address. Receive a pass for free parking on Sunday mornings at the visitor desk inside the Chapel. Services are livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/dukechapel. For a listing of Christian education offerings before the service, consult the Chapel's website calendar.
