Sharing, Naming, and Healing: 'Uneven Ground' Exhibit Open House (First Presbyterian Church)

*** This event takes place at First Presbyterian Church, which is located at 305 E. Main St. on the free bus line with limited free parking. ***

This open house/story sharing vigil will be a time of learning (exhibit), reflecting (story sharing), and standing together (vigil). Duke Chapel and First Presbyterian Church want to acknowledge the history of racial inequity in housing in Durham, recognize the present challenges and spaces of hope, and offer a space for lament and resilience-building as a community around the housing crisis Durham is facing.

This is open to people of all faiths and is family friendly.

This event is part of the Uneven Ground at First Presbyterian, which explores faith and the history of racism and housing. Originally commissioned for the 150th anniversary of Durham as a city, the exhibit is a tool for reflection, learning, and dialogue. It is on display through February 16 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
