Nathaniel Gumbs, Director of Chapel Music, Yale University

Nathaniel Gumbs, Director of Chapel Music at Yale University, has performed throughout the United States and abroad. Prior to his position at Yale, he served as Director of Music and Arts and Church Organist at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2017, The Diapason magazine recognized him as one of "20 outstanding organists under the age of 30." More recently, The New York Times described his playing as "mature, lyrical, accurate, and energetic." His recital will include music by Buxtehude, Bach, Mendelssohn, and Hailstork on the Flentrop organ. Free admission. Paid parking is available on a first-come-first-served in the Bryan Center Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the surface lot at the same address.
