Organ Recital Series - Christopher Jacobson
Location: Duke Chapel
Christopher Jacobson

Christopher Jacobson, Chapel organist and Divinity School organist at Duke, has won top prizes in several organ competitions. He has presented organ recitals in North America, Europe, and Australia, and he records for the Dutch music label Pentatone. A Grammy-nominated artist in collaboration with the South Dakota Chorale in their recording of Marcel Tyberg's Masses, he has performed the complete organ works of J. S. Bach and Maurice Duruflé across the United States. His recital this year, performed on the Aeolian organ, will feature music transcribed for the organ, including Jean Sibelius's Finlandia.

Admission is free. Parking is available for $5 in the Bryan Center Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in surface lot next to the garage.

Come early at 4:00 p.m. to participate in the Chapel's Choral Evensong worship service. Evensong at Duke Chapel is a small part of something bigger; it is part of the worship which is offered to God by people in every part of the world throughout the day and night.
