Organ Recital - Abraham Ross
Location: Duke Chapel
Abraham Ross

Duke Chapel Organ Scholar Abraham Ross presents a recital titled "Ricercar" on the Chapel's Flentrop and Aeolian organs. The hour-long program will explore the ways we draw connections between past and present, featuring works of Peeter Cornet, Franz Danksagm├╝ller, Joseph-Ermend Bonnal, and Thierry Escaich. Each piece refers to a central theme of searching-whether for musical resolution, a physical location, or a place in a tradition that spans centuries into the past.

Admission is free. Event parking is available for $5 in the Bryan Center Parking Garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address. Also an organist at St. Joseph's Episcopal Church in Durham, Ross comes to Duke from Oberlin College and Conservatory where he completed degrees in early music performance practice.

Come early at 4:00 p.m. to participate in the Chapel's Choral Evensong worship service. Evensong at Duke Chapel is a small part of something bigger; it is part of the worship which is offered to God by people in every part of the world throughout the day and night.
