Choral Evensong
4:00 pm
Choral Evensong
Location: Duke Chapel
Rich with music spanning from the Renaissance to the present, Choral Evensong features sung prayers, psalms, canticles, and organ music. Distinct from the noisy world around us, this service offers a place for quiet contemplation. The service is led by Chapel and local ministers with music from the Duke Evensong Singers. Parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address. For more parking options, visit chapel.duke.edu/visit-events/visit#parking. Masking in Duke Chapel is optional for those who are fully vaccinated. If you have not been vaccinated, Duke requires that you wear a mask in all Duke facilities. Thank you for doing your part to keep the Chapel open and safe for all. Learn more about campus public health measures at https://returnto.duke.edu/public-health-measures/ . People attending the service are invited to sit in the first set of choir stalls in the chancel area where the altar is located or in the main sanctuary. The service typically lasts one hour and is held during the academic year. A livestream of the service is available on the Chapel website and a recording is available afterwards. Also watch the service live on channel 12 of the Duke Hospital TV system or channel 110 of the Duke Campus Vision TV system.
