Between Therapy and Faith: Exploring the Intersections of Psychological Expertise and Faith Wisdom Hosted by Religious Life at Duke and CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) This collaboration offers students an opportunity to explore the question, ¿Do faith and mental health have anything to say to each other?". The program will introduce some common ground between the conversations that often occur in counseling and psychotherapy with Duke students and many of the themes that are relevant to students of different faith backgrounds. With an emphasis on the impact of Fear and Love, the discussion will explore such concepts as Hope, Forgiveness Strength, Redemption, Control, Certainty, and Resilience. How the absence of these can lead to problems with anxiety, depression, and a host of other issues that are routinely addressed at CAPS. Please Join Us!!! Duke Chapel Kitchen (located in the Chapel Basement, accessible through the side doors facing the Bryan Center. For questions, contact Gary Glass at 660-1000 or Christy Lohr Sapp at 684-2909.
