Vocal Arts Ensemble of Durham: Songs of Solomon and Shakespeare

The 32 singers of the Vocal Arts Ensemble celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group by singing about love, first using passionate and romantic Old Testament words from "The Song of Solomon" and then singing four Liebeslieder (Love Song) Waltzes by Johannes Brahms. In addition, the group will sing highly evocative settings of Shakespearean texts by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams and Finnish composer Jaako Mantyjärvi.
