Retreat on 'Justice and the Spiritual Crisis of Gun Violence' [Online]

This retreat will explore the complexity of gun violence in Durham, NC by listening to multiple voices engaged in its tragic everyday reality. Retreat participants will hear from neighbors on every side of violence, including representatives from our law enforcement, local government, and judicial systems. Special guests Rev. Dr. Fatimah Salleh, founder of A Certain Work, and Ben Haas, executive director of Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham, will guide participants into conversation with these voices and one another, inviting all to reflect on God's presence within the suffering caused by gun violence as well as to consider God's call to each of us in response.
