Public Lecture: America, Islam, and the Legacy of Dr. King Today

Omid Safi, director of the Duke Islamic Studies Center, will offer a lecture about ways in which the prophetic tradition, led by Martin Luther King and others, was at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. What does this tradition have to say about America today, in light of our engagement in the Middle East, Ferguson, and the ongoing economic crisis?
