Chad Fothergill (pictured here), interim Duke Chapel organist, gives a pre-concert lecture on historical and musical contexts for the centrality of the Magnificat in the Vespers and Evensong traditions with particular emphasis on the Magnificat settings by Bach. Admission is free.
