Jazz Vespers: A Service of Celebration

In anticipation of Mardi Gras, John Brown, Duke's vice provost for the arts, and his Little Big Band lead the music for this service. It will be a New Orleans-inspired celebration of life in the Spirit, featuring spirituals, gospel favorites, and contemporary arrangements. The Chapel's Jazz Vespers services combine the ancient Christian tradition of evening vespers with the musical idioms of jazz. Parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis in the Bryan Center garage at 125 Science Drive. ADA parking is available in the Bryan Center Surface Lot at the same address.
