Duke Chapel by Candlelight: Christmas Open House

Welcome the splendor of the season at the annual candlelight open house at Duke Chapel. All are invited to tour the Chapel fully-decorated for the Christmas season and listen to familiar Christmas music. Dean Powery will read a selection from his new book Rise Up, Shephard!: Advent Reflections on the Spirituals at 12:15 p.m. Docents will be available for questions about the Chapel's architecture. There is no cost to attend and no tickets or reservations are required. The event starts at noon and ends at 2:00 p.m.; drop in during your lunch break and stay for as little or as long as you'd like! At 2:00 p.m., following the Open House, artist Carole Baker will talk about her interactive exhibit Mary: The Paper Doll Project. Free parking is available on a first-come basis in the Bryan Center Parking Garage. Vehicles with an ADA permit may park on the Bryan Center Surface Lot.
